ELLE FASHION | Next Presentation SS 2013

I was absolutely ecstatic to head back to Lincoln Center, the heart of NYFW, but even more so when I met up with fellow bloggers, Tessa, Chris, Nicole, and Diana. It was craziness everywhere as we were standing in line just to check in at the ELLE FASHION | Next show, ready to flash the overly stressed out workers with our RSVPs on our phones. Naturally, we were standing at the VIP entrance, watching fabulously dressed people walk in like ELLE Magazine’s Joe Zee (I’m obsessed).

This show was different than any other show here on the island of Manhattan. Elle teamed up with the Fashion Institute of Technology to put on a show for eighteen super talented students to have their clothes walk the runway here at Lincoln Center. There were three awards: Elle|FIT Design Award ($25,000), Maybelline New York Fashion|Next Award ($25,000), and People’s Choice Award ($10,000). Lucky us, we were able to snag a great view from the front row across from Leigh Lezark (pictured above) and Patrick McDonald!

Congratulations to winners, Jongsuk Park – Maybelline New York Fashion|Next Award, and Tae Kyung Kim – Elle|FIT Design Award! I don’t believe they announced the winner for the People’s Choice Award… Whoops.

  1. Ahhhh hi Pastel Hearts! I just stumbled across your blog and I want to thank you for getting one of the best pictures of my blue gown I have seem so far! It has definitely made my night :))

    • Yvonne,
I just wanted to congratulate you on your hard word and for making it so far in the competition. I la-la-la-LOVED your dress. The colors, the crossing on the torso, and the lightness/flow of your dress–swoon! Definitely one of my favorites, if not, my favorite.

I hope to see more of your work very soon! 😀

      Wishing you the best,
